We are most excited to announce that our new album is finally complete! “Making Tracks Home” – in part a chronicle of our post-flood emotional and geographical journeys – is set to release March 24, 2015. You can pre-order your digital copy at taarka.bandcamp.com beginning March 3. We’d like all the folks who donated to our gofundme campaign to receive a copy of the cd as a gift. Some of you left contact info, but many did not. To get your copy please write to us at taarka@taarka.com so we can thank you!
In support of our new release we’ll be doing shows around the Rocky Mountain region, including New Mexico, throughout the month of March. Then we head to California where, prior to our west coast CD Release tour, the whole durn Pelta-Tiller family will be going to the Julian Family Fiddle Camp, where Enion will be lead fiddle instructor, David will be instructing on mandolin, and Aesop will be learning all about Texas style and Scottish style fiddling. There’s a whole host of great teachers at the camp including Katie Glassman, Luke Price and Mari Black on Fiddle, Scott Law on Guitar, and Gene Libbea on Bass. After camp, we’ll be heading up the coast to play shows between Southern California and Northern Washington. Keep an eye on our dates page to get specifics.
And just to share a little parental pride with you all, Aesop, David and Enion’s son, has been learning a bunch of Taarka songs on his guitar. Who knows, you may see him onstage at our next show!
