Happy Summer one and all! It’s so nice that things are opening back up. Our shows at Planet Bluegrass with Bonnie Paine and Friends were amazing. It was an incredible feeling to play for ACTUAL REAL PEOPLE, to be together with our favorite musicians onstage again, and to feel the community spirit we create together. Let’s keep that going – we encourage you to get vaccinated if you are able, for the safety and health of your community, and to be cautious as you begin to attend indoor events.
We just updated our summer schedule. You may notice that there are very few public shows. This is intentional as we’re taking a slow approach to getting back into the swing of things. We’ll be at the brand new Bushyhead Farm Summer Festival in Kansas, OK – as Taarka and backing up Bonnie Paine as well. We’re excited, though, to be teaching at a few music camps this summer, and we hope we’ll see some of you at these camps. Enion will be teaching at Julie Lyonn Lieberman’s wonderful Strings Without Boundaries Camp – which is virtual so anyone, anywhere can attend! And both David and Enion will be teaching at Camp Coletrain with our friend Coleman Smith of Rapidgrass, in Buena Vista, CO. Please check out our shows page to find out what we’re up to with camps and limited performances.
We’re taking time to finish our album (finally) and look forward to getting the Taarka engine running again in late 2021 – early 2022.
Can’t wait to see you!
